The Walk · Luke 22:42
Not my will.
a short liturgy for the mornings we forget.
"Father, if You are willing, take this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done."
The Garden of Gethsemane isn't the story of a strong man who decided to be strong. It is the story of a man who asked, honestly, if there was another way — and then chose the harder one anyway.
'Not my will, but Yours' is not a slogan. It is the load-bearing wall of every faith that has ever endured a hard year.
This is a short liturgy for the mornings you forget:
Lord, my hands are open. Not my plans. Not my clock. Not my definition of enough. Take the cup. Fill the day. I will follow.
Speak it out loud. Then get dressed.
walk in it.
